The new Godavari Bridge is one of the longest span prestressed concrete arch bridges in Asia. Jayakwadi dam near Paithan is one of the largest earthen dams in India build over holy river Godavari in state of Maharashtra. The new Godavari arch bridge is a single Railway lane bridge which replaces the parallel running old Godavari bridge.
